We got a call out of the blue on Friday from our friends, Julio and Dominga, saying that they were on their way for a surprise visit. Pastor Julio was the pastor of the church in Bocachica when we first arrived 11 years ago. He and Dominga were just dating then and we had the honor of signing as the official witnesses at their civil wedding ceremony 10 years ago. They were transferred out of Bocachica years ago but we have kept in touch all these years and we were excited to see them again for the first time in a very long time!
They traveled for 4 hours by motorcycle! They have a daughter named Esther who will soon be 9 years old. She wasn´t able to come but we are hoping to see them all again in December and see Esther for the first time since she was just a baby.
