Everybody gets a cup of 12 grapes to eat at midnight... you are suppossed to make 12 wishes for the new year...one for each grape...I said 12 prayers instead. 
At my father-in-law's request, I made lasagna (I had help too!) for our New Year's dinner. It was the first time I ever cooked at a big family gathering like that.
