Kitchen: Before, During & After

The last three weeks our house has been turned upside-down! When we first bought our house almost 3 years ago one of the first things I wanted to do was to renovate our kitchen!! Well, recently we recieved a generous offering from some special friends of ours and we were finally able to do it! We are completely exhausted from all the work but of course when it´s all done, it is so worth it!! Here are some photos from before, during the demolition and after it was all completed!

BEFORE

Making birthday cupcakes for our friend Ben earlier this year. I had almost no cabinet space and there were strange windows and doorways in this kitchen.

DURING DEMOLITION

Here we opened up an arched window and made a bar into the back porch/living area.

For some reason there was a doorway from the kitchen to the bedroom on the other side of the wall. We closed up that doorways so we could use the wall for cabinet space.

We hired two of our friends from Bocachica (Luis and Jóse) to come and help us! We never could have done it without them!!

This was the main doorway into the kitchen. We tore that down and made a wider, arched doorway.

We also re-did the floor and the ceiling on our front porch.
