The Last Couple of Weeks

 We enjoyed the visit of our friend, Jazmin, from Hermosillo, Mexico.  We met Jazmin when we worked with YWAM San Diego/Baja in Ensenada, Mexico back in 2005 when she did her DTS on the base there.  She came to visit several YWAM ministries in Cartagena and "spy out the land" as she is considering the possibility of serving here in the near future.

 Jorge traveled to Pereira, Risaralda, (a city that is south of Medellin, west of Bogota and north of Cali) to teach at the YWAM Pereira DTS.  Pereira is located in the Coffee Region of Colombia which has perfect weather and spectacular scenery!    While there he got to spend a day with our dear friends Elizabeth (who has volunteered off and on with us in Bocachica for many years) and Yury (who directs the Pereira YWAM base).  In the photo above the three of them are enjoying some Colombian coffee!  Jorge had an intense schedule during the week he was there, teaching and speaking morning, afternoon and evenings at the YWAM base and at local churches.  When he returned home he was tired but very encouraged and motivated by everything the Lord did during his time there.  He told me that he felt like he had his own little personal retreat.  Check out more photos HERE.
